@VolzhskiyDunmer @JTrolldemon @SRBinWakanda The Germans wanted East Slavs replaced with German settlers, and exterminated. They saw them as a racial enemy. Russia was not special whatsoever. The Germans were as brutal in Ukraine as they were in Russia (Eric Koch).

@JTrolldemon @nitrrogen__ @SRBinWakanda I'll generally agree with you about the Slavs tho. I don't think the German authorities even saw them as anything other than the default cattle/backwoods of eastern Europe. About Russia, yes, there was a direct idea of colonisation and enslavement of remains

@JTrolldemon @SRBinWakanda The German Army was literally instructed to be as brutal and as unforgiving as possible by the higher ups, to not follow the Hague convention etc. It was very clearly a racial war?

@JTrolldemon @SRBinWakanda Are you intellectually disabled? Google the Hegewald colony, or Generalplan Ost, or the many MANY statements made by German military & political leaders at the time. Germany wanted lebensraum and wished to displace slavs from the area & resettle it with Germans.
