@GenocideAfrica Look : Irkutsk sent 1.76 trillion rubles to the FEDERAL budget (mainly mineral tax, of which 100% goes to the FEDERAL budget)

Irkutsk had a REGIONAL budget deficit of 13 billion rubles. If even just 1% (!!!) of mineral tax remained in the region it'd have been 4 billion surplus.

@RADFEM_TEMUJIN But I thought all the minerals come from Siberia and that Irkutsk contributes as much to taxed as Moscow? These charts all contradict eachother. pic.x.com/aSNveOxjaH

@GenocideAfrica This is data from two different years to be fair (2022 & 2019) but the point still stands : Irkutsk sends way more to the center than it receives for its deficit. The center lives off the taxation of Irkutsk, not the other way around.
