@nitrrogen__ It was. The Soviets were just guaranteed Finland in their sphere, set up a SSR for Finland immediately after the war started that encompassed all the occupied territories and the Soviet government was adamant on reclaiming their lost Tsarist lands

@nitrrogen__ The Baltics accepted the Soviets demands in a similar fashion and the Russians ended up just annexing their entire country

What makes you think the Soviets wouldn’t have an incentive to do the same? It was just a casus beli it would have made the invasion easier
