@ImmolateGrenfel "Battle on the Ice" is a very good early-soviet film too. The Battle Scene is really impressive, especially for it's time and the technology available.

@nitrrogen__ Soviet cinema particularly in its earliest stage was incredibly influential, you'll find homages to Battleship Potemkin littered all over western cinema
